Color Marketing Group is delighted to confirm that Enrique Carbajal (Sebastián) will present at the 2012 ChromaZone Color Forecasting event in Mexico City, August 8.
Sebastián was born in Santa Rosalía de Camargo, Chihuahua and lived in Chihuahua until he began studying in the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City in 1964.
He studied in the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (National School of Plastic Arts) at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Persisting with deep appreciation for Henry Moore and Pablo Picasso, he won first place in the 1965 Annual Exposition of the National Plastic Arts School at UNAM. His work differs from other artists by the geometric shape that gives his sculptures. Sebastian is a member of World Arts Forum Council with head quarters in Geneva, Switzerland. He isa full time researcher at UNAM, a member of the Advisory Board of the National Council for Culture and the Arts and recipient of the National System of Creators 1994-1996. In 1994 he was guest of honor during the Triennial of Art Cairo, Egypt.
Since 1968 when he began as an artist he has made over 120 individual expositions at Mexico, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, England, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Canada, Finland, United States, France, Japan, Switzerland, and Venezuela.
His work can be found in various places, from his work of Caballito in Mexico City to his greatest work, known as La Puerta de Chihuahua in Chihuahua City. His work is also available in other cities such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, Ciudad Juarez, Torreon, Villahermosa, Morelia, Xalapa, Colima, Manzanillo, Tecomán, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Puebla, Kingston, Buenos Aires, Havana, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Albuquerque, Denver , Englewood, New York, San Antonio, Bern, Reykjavik, Hakone, Nagoya, Osaka and of course in his Alma Mater the UNAM.
