Guest Speaker, Hannah Malein of Mix magazine presents Global Color Research’s Colour and Material trends for Spring/Summer 2016. The themes – Tropic, Beast, Brink and Space – explore how these trends will inform colour choices, inspire design concepts and influence material and surface application.
Tropic– Taking the exuberance and diversity of Equatorial countries, this trend explore both escapism and the region’s astonishingly diverse ecosystem.
Beast– This bold and uncompromising theme explores a strange and dystopian landscape where we can live a life that joyfully embraces danger and the unknown.
Brink– Referencing classicism and heritage, this trend responds to uncertain times by searching for reassuring authenticity.
Space– This broadly optimistic theme looks to the Cosmos, finding beauty and inspiration in planets, stars and moons. Malein is one of the presenters at CMG’s 2015 European Conference being held May 20th to 22nd in Krakow, Poland.

As the event progresses, the colors will be narrowed to a final European Color Forecast for 2017+ which is distributed in digital format with Written Report.
